Located in the southwestern corner of Florida, Naples is a relatively remote city, yet is straightforward to travel to. Naples offers a selection of public transport and excellent road access provided by the I-75 and a municipal airport within the city, as well as an international airport within an hours' drive of Naples. Both airports receive a fair amount of traffic or, if flights are a problem, Tampa, Orlando, and Miami airports are also close to Naples, offering a selection of ground transport options.

The bulk of the visitors to Naples will arrive at the Southwest Florida International Airport just outside Fort Myers to the north of Naples, while Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami have more flight options. Interstate 75 and US41 provide road access to Naples from the airport and shuttle travel is also available. The option is also there to fly to Naples Municipal Airport via Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), or Tampa (TPA) airports. North Road, Airport-Pulling Road, Davis Boulevard west and US41 feed the town from the airport.

Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National all have transport offices at Southwest Florida Airport and there are similar outlets at Naples Airport. Naples lies northwest of Miami and 43 miles / 69 km due south of Fort Myers, at the end of the famed Tamiami Trail, and is accessible via I-75 from both cities.
