Naples Neighborhoods, Locations and Naples Districts
(Naples, Florida - FL, USA)

Naples is an affluent coastal city in Collier County of southwest Florida, boasting magnificent beaches and charming districts and neighborhoods. The city of Naples is also known for its fantastic natural and manmade attractions, scores of cafés and restaurants, and quality beachside shopping. Naples is more small-town America than your average sized Orlando and has plenty of character to go with its laid-back charm.

The well-laid out grid system in Naples features smart tree-lined streets that are populated by historic homes and attractive condos, while the Old Naples district is home to 3rd and 5th avenues, the focus of the town. Here are the main districts and locations in the Naples area.

Naples Locations and Districts: Marine Marketplace at Tin City - Naples, Florida (FL), USA
Located on the popular 5th Avenue, the Old Marine Marketplace at Tin City is a tourist hotspot on the waterfront in Naples. Warehouses have been converted into a shopping-and-dining complex, where trendy stores and fast-food restaurants are numerous.

Naples Locations and Districts: Old Naples District - Naples, Florida (FL), USA
The Old Naples district is the original plot of land that Naples grew up on. This important area of Naples encompasses a two-square-mile grid that stretches for ten blocks running west to east from the Gulf of Mexico to Naples Bay, and 20 blocks from the Beach Golf Club north of 5th Avenue to Aqualane Shores in the south. The whole district is pedestrian-friendly and has the small-town feel, with cute residences, schools, churches and various motels and inns throughout Old Naples. There is also much history in the area and plenty of shopping on 3rd Street South, while Naples' Central Business District (CBD) stretches along 5th Avenue.

Naples Locations and Districts: Naples Pier - Naples, Florida (FL), USA
South of downtown Naples, Naples Pier was built in the late 19th century and is the focal point of an affluent neighborhood, which is based around 12th Avenue South. The original pier was destroyed by storms and fire, although today's structure is substantially more robust and is the best spot for viewing the spectacular Naples sunsets, and the even more up market Millionaires' Row.

Naples Locations and Districts: Pelican Bay - Naples, Florida (FL), USA
A few miles north of Naples is Pelican Bay, a self-contained extension of Naples running along the coast to the north of the city. This purpose-built Naples community features extensive facilities for residents and tourists, with a 27-hole golf course, tennis courts, playgrounds, shopping centers, world class hotels and numerous cafés and restaurants. There is also a library here and the much vaunted Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts, with the brilliant Naples Museum of Art attached. Pelican Bay also boasts a 3-mile / 5-km stretch of pristine beach, which is separated from the community by a mangrove swamp.
